Striker Samuela Drudru scored a double as Professional Security Civic defeated League FC 3-2 in the Suva Football Association local league at the Buckhurst Ground yesterday.

The former Nadi marksman was in top form and scored goals in both halves to guide the last year’s finalists to a comfortable win in the Super Premier division.

The side also defeated Vunidilo 9-0 earlier in the day to boost their chances of qualifying for the knockout stage of the competition.

In other matches, defending champions All Freight Logistics Bureta thrashed Country Club 9-1.

Suva Football competitions manager Niranjan Prasad praised the performance of the teams.

“Teams are improving every week and I’m happy with the progress so far.

“The remaining round three games will be completed on Sunday before we take a break for the Vodafone Fijian FACT.”
