Goundar Shipping Outlines Plans

Goundar Shipping Limited is expected to expand its fleet by the end of the year.
GSL owner and managing director George Goundar confirmed this yesterday. “Everything will depend on the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji,” he said of their new vessel.
Mr Gounder who recently returned from Canada said he had a good visit and managed to achieve all he needed for the refurbishment of the economy class of the country’s biggest ferry MV Lomaiviti Princess III.
“The refurbishment works would cost the company around $500,000 but it is all about giving people are better service. All the stuff we had purchased should be in Fiji at the end of this month,” Mr Goundar said.
CLEAN-UP TRIPS
Mr Goundar went to Koro Island on Monday to see on what’s the situation is like there. He said that if people in Koro manages to put all the corrugated iron on the road side than he would plan another clean-up trip.
“Also the clean-up trip to Levuka will be planned later,” he added.
