Nakelo Eager To Welcome Key

The Vanua of Nakelo is eager to perform the traditional welcome ceremony for New Zealand Prime Minister John Key today.

Mr Key is expected to touch-down at Nausori International Airport this afternoon.

Preparation and practice have been ongoing over the past two weeks.  For many who will be taking part, this is an opportunity of a life-time to show-case not only the vanua of Nakelo but the tradition and culture of Fiji to the world.

The traditional welcoming ceremony will take place at the Vale ni Bose complex in Nasova.

This will be followed by a cocktail and banquet.
