Yesterday, Dixon Seeto was re-elected the president of the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association.

His re-appointment came from the association’s 51st annual general meeting. This was held at the Radisson Blu Resort Fiji in Denarau.

Mr Seeto said he was thankful to the association for having faith in him.

“I am humbled that they have shown confident in me as the president and the vice presidents and the board.  This shows that we are doing something right,” Mr Seeto said.

“We have always looked after the interest of the industry and also our association to go hand in hand. We advocate our members interest and matters I guess, and very vocally with the government.”

Also re-elected were the two vice-presidents Mark Gillespie and Brian Kirsch.

Former vice-president Patrick Wong was inducted as an honorary life member.

The other board members elected are William Whiting, Anthony Acland, Gerard Knight, Peter Gee, Ravinder Dhesi, and Tarun Patel.
