Nabouwalu Crash Claims Life Of Man, 30
A man in his 30s died yesterday after the vehicle he was travelling in veered off the road and tumbled several times along the Nabouwalu Highway at Naibulu, Dreketi, at about 10am.
The victim was riding in the back of a 4-wheel drive vehicle driven by a 42-year-old of Naodamu.
Also traveling in the vehicle was the driver’s 43-year-old wife and their three children.
They had picked up the victim while travelling to Labasa when it is alleged the driver lost control of the vehicle.
One of the driver’s daughters, who is 18 years old, is admitted in critical condition at the Labasa Hospital.
Meanwhile the driver, his wife and the other two children are under observation as Police investigations continue.
A post mortem examination will be conducted soon.
