Kiwis Here For Pre-Rio Camp

The New Zealand women’s sevens team arrived in Nadi yesterday for their pre-Rio training camp.
Team manager Cory Sweeney said the team would be camping in the western division for 10 days.
“We are here for our pre-Rio training camp, so coming over here is an opportunity for the players to play obviously in some nice hot weather.”
Sweeney said they would play a few games against the Telecom Fijiana team who march into camp at the Uprising Beach Resort today.
“We are 30 in total, 23 players and seven officials,” Sweeney said.
“It’s just an opportunity to play really, have some good weather and simulate what’s really going to happen in Rio.”
The team will stay at the Anchorage Beach Resort in Lautoka and depart Fiji on June 21.
