Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji yesterday provided a $10,000 for the 2016 Oceania Swimming Championships in Suva next week.

Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji will donate hydration drink, Powerade to all teams and officials during the 7-day competition at Damodar City Aquatic Centre.

Fiji Swimming executive Lucy Erasito welcomed the timely assistance.

“We are grateful for the sponsorship which ensures our athletes and officials are well hydrated and in the best shape to perform,” Erasito said.

All swimmers will be provided with Powerade after each event as part of the sponsorship.”

The sponsorship also includes Coca-Cola Zero and Minute Maid Pulpy Orange refreshments for officials.

Coca Cola Amatil acting general manager Neil Searancke said: “To all swimmers, months of preparation will finally be tested. We wish you the very best and hope you continue to be an inspiration to others. From all of us at Coca Cola Amatil Fiji we hope to continue to inspire and encourage living active healthy lifestyles.”

The Oceania Swimming Championships is held every 2 years and will see 15 countries from the region participate in pool, open water and synchronized swimming on June 20-26. Fiji last hosted this event in 2004.
