Many people will definitely be surprised when they enter Subrail Park for the Vodafone Fijian FACT in Labasa today.

Fiji Football Association vice-president (North) Girja Prasad commended the Labasa Town Council for upgrading Subrail Park.

“I must say the Labasa Town Council has  done a much better job and I thank them for delivering a venue perfect for FACT,” Prasad said.

“The upgrade and maintenance work should be commended. The floodlights are in order and definitely we will have no problem to have games at night.

“After so many years, we will have a beer parlour near the main ground as the Labasa Club has set up a stall.

“We’re doing whatever we can to help people enjoy this tournament and feel comfortable supporting their team.”

Prasad said the chief guest at the opening would be the Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou.

Fixtures: 1pm: Suva-Lautoka (Group B); 3: Dreketi- Nadi (Group A); 5 official opening;

5:30pm: Rewa-Ba (Group A); 7:30 Labasa vs Nadroga (Group B).
