Sunia Koto calls on all Fijians to wear white in today’s clash against Samoa in their second round of the Pacific Nations Cup at the ANZ Stadium.

And the Vodafone Flying Fijians captain has also rally for support for fans not to miss the double-header with Tonga playing Georgia in the first game at 12.45pm

“We would like the fans to come out in white colours and support the Flying Fijians.

“It’s motivating for the players when we see fans coming out in numbers. We would like them to come over and also support the two teams Tonga and Georgia who will be playing the first game,” Koto said.

The skipper has again stressed the importance of today’s match for their 2019 Rugby World Cup campaign.

“If we can come out first in the group, then it will make work easier next year for the second round of qualifications,”Koto said.

“We are expecting a tough match, Samoa are physical, they got a very good and experienced pack.

The Fijian side has had more game this week compared to last week where they played their first game and Koto believes they would need to stick to their game plan.

“It just about making less mistakes, stick to the system set by the coaches.”

Samoa to stick on right tactics

Manu Samoa head coach Alama Ieremia believes they will have to play the right tactic against the Fijians today.

“We will look at how we approach Fiji and come up with the right tactics.

“We only have one local player in our team and for Fiji with the crowd behind them it will be exciting for them,” Ieremia said.

“The Samoan community here is fantastic, the Samoa church, the university students, Samoan families we are always excited to have their support,” Ieremia added.
