Vodafone Fiji and the Fijian Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee launched the first ever Team Fiji ‘Road to Rio’ Online portal in Suva yesterday.

Vodafone director for finance, Elenoa Biukoto said the online donation portal has been developed for the passionate followers of Team Fiji to be able to donate from anywhere in the world.

“Vodafone Fiji is very proud to be a support toward the initiatives of FASANOC in taking Team Fiji to the Rio Olympics this year,” Biukoto said.

“It’s a very user friendly medium. Anyone with a credit card can log in register and donate. For transparency purpose, you can see all donations online so it will be against your name and the amount that you donate,” she said.

Biukoto said as part of their ongoing initiatives to support FASANOC in taking Team Fiji to Rio they also have an ongoing txt promo which will see two winners going to Rio.

“We are also providing Samsung phones to the managers and officials of Team Fiji while they are in Rio. We’re very proud to be gold sponsors and we are behind Team Fiji all the way to come home with a gold medal,” she said.

FASANOC chief executive Lorraine Mar acknowledged the support of Vodafone.

“This is not only for us in Fiji but also for those who are living overseas can show their support to the team,” Mar said.
