Paddison Leads Fijian Open

New Zealand professional Gareth Paddison leads after the third round of the Fijian Open at the Denarau Golf and Racquet Club in Nadi yesterday.
The 36-year old shot a total 17 under par 199 (70, 64, 65) five shot ahead of Kieran Muir 204 (68, 69, 67).
Day two leader Peiter Zwart is in third spot on 205 (65, 68, 72).
Hayden Beard is fourth on 207 (68, 67, 72) to tie with Fijian professional Sam Lee (69, 69, 69).
In the amateur category NZ’s Nick Ming leads the pack.
Ga In-Ji, 14, of Korea leads the women category after two rounds.
DGRC manager David Roche said fireworks was expected in the final round today.
“We have made the cut with 60 men and 32 ladies qualify for the final round,” he said.
The winner in the professional category gets $3,600 prize purse with an overseas professional and best local earn themselves to play in the 3rd Fijian International in October.
