Rewa football coach Marika Rodu worked overtime last night as he maps out today’s game plan against Nadi.

Speaking to SUNsports after their 1-0 win over Dreketi in the Vodafone Fiji FACT tournament yesterday, he says, discipline is an issue that he needs to be addressed with his players.

“I need to talk with the boys before we meet Nadi tomorrow,” Rodu said.

The Delta Tigers started strongly but made wrong decisions during the crucial stage of the match. Rewa striker Misaele Draunibaka copped a yellow card for dangerous play as well as Dreketi’s Nemani Kanacagi and Peni Sokia.

But Rewa took the lead midway the first half when Jonetani Buksh slotted in their goal. Dreketi only had themselves to blame as they missed numerous scoring chances through Rohit Chand after being set-up by midfielders Menom Ram and veteran Henry Dyer. Dreketi tried hard to score the equaliser and to keep their chances of qualifying to the semi-finals alive. It was not to be as they had difficulty in beating veteran Rewa goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau.

Dreketi assistant coach Ronil Ram congratulated Rewa for the win and said the loss means the end of their Fiji FACT campaign. The Northerners are hoping to restore lost pride in today’s clash against Ba.
