Two Australians were fined $100 each yesterday after being convicted of unlawful possession of illicit drugs – marijuana – at the Sigatoka Magistrates Court.

Both, Rory Frecklington, 38 and Matt Gselmann, 26, appeared before Magistrate Judge Tomasi Bainivalu who sentenced each according to the category and amount of drugs each one had in his possession.

According to the Police prosecutor, Shamim Hassan, Frecklington possessed 21 grams of marijuana and Gselmann had 2 grams at the time of arrest.
