A 32-year-old secondary school teacher was yesterday convicted for rape and sexual assault by the Suva High Court.
The victim who was 15 years of age when the crime was committed on December 4 last year is the teacher’s sister-in-law.
Justice Sunil Sharma when handing down his judgment found the accused guilty as charged and agreed with the assessor’s verdict.
The accused has been remanded till his sentencing today.
