Oceania Swimming Association president Dennis Miller is happy with the organisation of the 2016 Oceania Swimming Championship which ends on Saturday at the Damodar City Aquatic Centre.

“The weather has been very kind to us,”Miller said.

“We expected Australia and New Zealand to dominate and we’re also excited that Samoa, Cook Islands and Fiji have all won medals.”

Meanwhile, Fiji Swimming president Ben Rova is confident Matelita Buadromo and Meli Malani can qualify on merit for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil in August.

The two swimmers already qualified on wildcard entry or universality place.

In order to qualify for Olympic Games Malani needs to have a time of 22.27 secs in the A swimming or 23.05s in B while for Buadromo she needs a time of 1.58.96 seconds in A or 2.03.13s in B. Edited by Osea Bola
