Best Vows ‘Beast’

Toulouse’s Fijian winger Semi Kunatani vows to improve his on-off the field discipline as he prepares for the 2016 Rio Olympics in August.
Head coach Ben Ryan earlier said he would monitor the attitude and discipline of players on-off the field. And at any time players can get a tap on their shoulders and be told their Rio Olympics journey is over.
“For me personally I will try to improve on my discipline on-off the field,”the Naqalimare, Navosa native said.
““I will try to stay away from drinking alcohol, kava as Ben has been speaking strongly on this and we need to take heed if we want to stay on the team.”
It was not an easy week for ‘The Beast’ in his first training session and said he would need to lift his performance everyday on the field.
“Preparation has been good, I just joined training this week and it was a little bit tough for me,” he said.
“In every training sessions, I will try to lift the level of my preparation if I want to be in the final 12,” the 25-year-old said.
“All the players in the team have put their hands up for selection to be part of the final 12 team for Rio so competition within the team will be tough.
“I believe Ryan will have the final say but for me I will need to keep on improving and put in extra work during training.”
Ryan stated ‘The Beast’ is one of the fittest players in the team but expects more from him.
“He has got to improve his fitness, we need a little bit more fitness out of him and he really should be pushing for that,” Ryan said.
