The Fijian Sports Council has warned people reselling the Super Rugby tickets for the Chiefs-Crusaders match which will be held at the ANZ Stadium next Friday.

Chief executive officer Litiana Loabuka confirmed they reported the matter to the Commissioner of Police, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho.

“We’ve had some incidents reported on social media that fans are reselling tickets,” she said.

“It’s wrong, nobody is allowed to sell these tickets for whatever reasons.

“Rugby fans should not be duped by individuals claiming they can get you tickets to go and meet the players because that would not happen.”

Teams arrival

The Chiefs arrive on Tuesday and Crusaders on Wednesday at Nausori International Airport.

“We are urging fans in the Nausori-Suva corridor to show their support to the teams.”

The Chiefs will visit Lami Marist Convent School next week.

Get your tickets now

The concrete embankment is sold out, limited numbers for the gold section and platinum seats at the grandstand. About 2000 tickets left for the grass embankment.

“We’re encouraging people to buy now so you are not caught in the queue,” Loabuka said.

Little chiefs, ball boys

The ball boys programme closed on June 10 and the Fiji Rugby Union are going through the applications and will be calling the shortlisted people next week.

Loabuka said the ball boys would go through a technical programme to test their ability of catching the ball.

The little Chiefs of the day who bring his/her gears will sit on the Chiefs reserve bench.
