Team Fiji won six medals at the 2016 Oceania Swimming Championship which ended at the Damodar City Aquatic Centre in Suva last night.

The Fijians won two silver and four bronze medals and clocked personal best times.

Moana Wind won silver in the Women’s 50-metre breaststroke on Thursday clocking a time of 33.78 seconds

2014 Fiji Sportsman of the Year Meli Malani won bronze in the Men’s 50m breaststroke with a time of 29.42 secs;

Paula Elaisa, Eugene Kado, Eugene Kado and Malani won bronze in the Men’s 400m freestyle relay with a time of 3.38:89 minutes.

Matelita Buadromo, Adi Kinisimere Naivalu, Yolani Blake and Cheyenne Rova won bronze in the Women’s 400m freestyle clocking 3:58:60 minutes.

Buadromo thanked her teammates for a good job and was overwhelmed with the support from the crowd.

“This was best race for me in this competition so far and I just feel so excited to be here,”Buadromo said.

“The competition is pretty tough so I’m just glad to take part.”
