RCM Suva rugby team beat Macuata 20 -14 in the Skipper Cup match at Subrail Park, Labasa yesterday.

What happened:

Suva drew first blood through a penalty kicked by Mosese Tikoduadua.

But the home boys bounced back with a try to Rusiate Watasau which was converted. The second try was scored by  Iliesa Salusalu which was also converted.

Suva closed the gap with a try by Meli Kurisaru.

Halftime: Suva 8 – 14 Macuata.

Suva stamped their mark in the second-half with a try to Seru Cakobau followed by another one which was converted by Kurisaru.

Fulltime: Suva 20 – 14 Macuata

Big play: Macuata’s fullback Koroi Yavala played well throughout.

Star turn: Suva’s second-half resurgence.
