Tanoa Rakiraki Hotel Reopens After Winston

Tanoa Rakiraki Hotel reopened its doors yesterday after being badly hit by Cyclone Winston in February.

Tanoa Rakiraki manager Rameshwari Mani in an interview mentioned that it was a soft opening.

“We have opened ten standard rooms with the restaurant, bar and guest facilities like volleyball and bowling areas,” Ms Mani said.

She also said the other damaged blocks would be open to the public later in the year. “We have three more blocks which needs to be renovated and this will be done later in the year,” she said.

Ms Mani said: “We have received a number of bookings and we are hopeful that occupancy will improve as we have the rebranded Tanoa logo and social media updates. We have also had a few customers drop by at our restaurant and this is a positive feedback.”

Tanoa Hotel Rakiraki has 36 more rooms to renovate and this will be done later this year.

The hotel is part of the Tanoa group along with the Tanoa International, Tanoa Skylodge, Tanoa Apartments, Tanoa Waterfront, and Tanoa Plaza in Fiji.
