Suicide is the not the answer to end your life, says Mr Duavata Northern Crime Prevention Mr Parmod Enterprises Limited Akuila Salavuki.

The 20-year-old lad of Lekutu, Bua in Vanua Levu has been advocating against suicide during the weeklong carnival at Subrail Park in Labasa.

“I feel very excited to be crowned as the king as this has been my dream for seven years,” Mr Salavuki said.

On suicide Salavuki said life was a gift and should be protected.

“Life is a gift from God and it is given once,” he said.

“We don’t have the right to end our precious life on this earth.”

The third youngest of four siblings said he felt satisfied given the opportunity to use the platform to advocate on suicide cases.

“I always believe in myself and strive to do the best in everything,” Mr Salavuki said.

“I thank God for fulfilling my dream to be the king.”

Mr Salavuki, a law student of the University of the South Pacific assured that he would continue to advocate on suicide and encourage youngsters to value their lives. First Runner-Up was Mr Advanced Parts and Spares Manoa Dawaibalavu.
