Bigger And Better This Year, Says Sharma
Ba Horse Racing Council representative Sunil Sharma believes this year’s horse race competition will be a bigger and better event.
The Ba Motor Parts sponsored horse races event will be held at Namosau Horse Race Grounds on July 10.
“A total of 72 jockeys have registered for this and we are still receiving confirmations,” Sharma said.
“We are expecting close to 100 horses to take part in the event.”
Sharma said horses from all the towns in the Western Division were expected.
“Horses from Lautoka, Valley Road Sigatoka, Nadi, Ba, Rakiraki, Tavua and Lomawai, Sigatoka have registered.
“Altogether we will have around 18 races,” Sharma said.
Some of the prominent horses expected for the event include Dynakil, Babasiga, Fanta, Bharat, Hot Chillie, Dilau, Steema and Flying Ali Boy.
