Mosese Bulitavu yesterday labelled Fijians who want to access assistance from funds set aside for the Prime Minister’s Office as parasites.

While speaking in Parliament yesterday during a motion to reduce allocation to Prime Minister’s funds through which assistance is given out to Fijians, Mr Bulitavu said those who would want to access those funds are “parasites”.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said it was unfortunate that a SODELPA MP had such mentality and called Fijians parasites.

“Those funds are set aside for assistance given out through the Office of the Prime Minister. And, Bulitavu called these Fijians, the iTaukei parasites. This is rather unfortunate and cannot be condoned,” Mr Bainimarama said.
