$20k Boost For 7s Teams
RC Manubhai & Co. Limited contributed $20,000 to the ‘Road To Gold’ 7s rugby campaign to Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday.
Bainimarama, who is also the president of the Fijian Rugby Union, acknowledges the company for the support.
“Thank you RC Manubhai for this wonderful donation to the Fijian national sevens teams preparing to go to Rio.
“I know this will go a long way in helping them to win gold,” Bainimarama said.
The donation will assist the Fijian men’s and women’s 7s teams’ preparation for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
RC Manubhai director Ashok Patel was grateful to be part of the ‘Road To Gold’ campaign.
Mr Patel said they entire RC Manubhai Group were happy to be associated and support the rugby 7s teams to Rio.
“This donation is part of our social responsibility,” Patel said.
