Flag Bearer Pick On July 16
Nominations for Fiji’s flag bearer to the 2016 Rio Olympics closed on Friday afternoon.
Team Fiji chef de mission Cathy Wong confirmed they would make an announcement on July 16.
“We have received nominations for flag bearers and we will make the announcement on July 16,” Wong said.
UNIFORM LAUNCH
On the same day, the Team Fiji uniforms will be launched at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
“The Team Fiji uniform will be launched on July 16 at 7:30am,” she said. “Athletes will have breakfast following the uniform launch and we will go to Uprising Beach Resort after that for team bonding, that is the whole of Team Fiji.”
Wong added that Beyond Limits Known (BLK) is the official apparel sponsor for Team Fiji.
