Lami remains unbeaten in the Vodafone Senior League after securing a 1-1 draw against Tailevu/Naitasiri at the Fiji Football Association ground in Vatuwaqa, Suva yesterday.

What happened: It was a tough first half with both teams fighting hard to draw first blood. Lami came back more energised in the second half, but made a lot of basic mistakes giving away possessions. But Rajnesh Kumar came through for his team four minutes into extra time scoring the equaliser.

Big play: Good football by both teams.

Star turn: Lami’s Rajnesh Kumar and Tailevu Naitasiri’s Ronil Ram were the stars of the show,

Comments

Tailevu/ Naitasiri coach Mohammed Shafil; “It was a good game but we lost concentration in the dying minutes which is something we really need to work on. We will make sure to train hard and come back stronger next week.”

Lami coach Deepak Chand: “One thing we need to really improve on is fitness but otherwise the boys played good football.”
