Rabuka backs QVSOB again

He is also partially funding the Queen Victoria School Under-18 rugby side
Former Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka donated a set of jerseys to the QVSOB rugby team that is playing in the Suva Rugby Union’s Escott Shield competition.
Rabuka who has been sponsoring the team for the second year says he had taken the step to encourage other old boys to back the team.
“I’ve given money to the association and the association has given it to the team so that they know that they belong to the association,” the former national rugby prop said.
“I’m hopeful that this will boost every player that can go on to play for Suva and eventually into the national team.”
DEANS TROPHY
Rabuka is also partially funding the Queen Victoria School Under-18 rugby side in their preparation for the Deans Trophy.
“I fund half and the other half come from the parents through the fundraising they carry out,” he said.
QVSOB Association president Anasa Vocea acknowledged Rabuka for the assistance.
“We thank Mr Rabuka for being the major sponsor of the team and supplied the new jerseys .We are extremely grateful to him for his support. He was basically channelling his assistance through the association and we are encouraging our members to do likewise, without their support it would be very difficult for us.”
