A 47 year old man died following a tragic motor vehicle accident in Varavu, Ba last night.
The incident occurred a little after 6pm. It is alleged that one of the tyres of the vehicle driven by the 38 year old suspect burst causing the vehicle to veer onto the opposite lane and collided with the victim’s vehicle where his wife and two young children were also travelling in.
The victim’s wife and two children aged 2 and 1 years of age are currently admitted in the Lautoka Hospital all in critical condition.
A post mortem will be conducted to determine cause of death. The road death toll currently stands at 27 compared to 34.
