A 55-year-old woman, who faces charges at the Suva Magistrates Court, of attempted aggravated robbery, has been remanded in custody.

It is alleged that Mena Kumari with others attempted to rob Kauyawa Ledua on July 11.

Magistrate Waleen George has transferred the matter to Suva High Court and has remanded the accused.

Police Prosecutor Sergeant Lenaitasi Sautaki served full disclosures.

Kumari has requested the court for Legal Aid assistance.

On the same case 30-year-old Vijendra Prasad, one of the alleged gang robbery members, appeared in court charged with one count of criminal trespass and attempted aggravated robbery.

The case was also transferred by Magistrate George to the Suva High Court.

Prasad with another on July 11 in Samabula allegedly entered into the property of Tony Hua Joe with intent to commit robbery.

The cases have been adjourned to July 22.
