ANZ Fiji has launched a Visa Debit Card to help customers shop and use their money in accounts not only locally but internationally.

This card will be available to customers across Fiji as a safe and convenient option for local, international and online transactions.

An ANZ customer will have to pay a $35 fee yearly as soon as they sign up for the card at any ANZ outlet locally.

In launching the card, ANZ, acting chief executive officer, Saud Minam said ANZ Visa Card is like an international Access card, only better.

“You can use it anywhere as Visa is accepted around World wide-online, over the phone, overseas and in stores- using money from your current or savings account,” he said.

Mr Minam said the increased security of the ANZ Visa Debit will benefit customers

“The ANZ Visa Debit Card provides added chip-enabled security for ATM and EFTPOS transactions that help safeguard customers,” he said.

He said the customers must safeguard their banking information by keeping their PINs confidential, changing PINs regularly and never lend their cards to others.

Also customers are told to make sure online purchases are only via reputable websites.
