Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho has made it clear that action will be taken against officers who abuse resources in the force.

This came to light after a new Police vehicle issued this month was allegedly involved in an accident at  Vuqele Village II in Tavua.

The alleged incident occurred before mid-day on Thursday.

“While in the issues of vehicle, I was quite disappointed yesterday afternoon to hear that one of our vehicles tumbled in the area of Tavua,” he said.

“Initial investigations indicate that there was negligence and also disobedience.  Negligence in the way the vehicle was utilised. There was no proper authorisation.

“I can assure you that if found guilty there will be severe displinary actions taken,” he said.
