A third Fiji Sun journalist has now successfully completed an intensive course in editing at the Australian Centre for Independent Journalism in Sydney.

Managing Editor Production Maraia Vula took part in the programme led by journalist and journalism lecturer Dan Kaufman.

Mr Kaufman has worked with the Sydney Morning Herald as a reporter, subeditor and editor. He now lectures in journalism at the University of Technology Sydney, and his journalism continues to be published in newspapers, magazines and netzines.

Ms Vula is the third Fiji Sun journalist the Sun has recently funded to attend this programme.

Fiji Sun Publisher/CEO Peter Lomas said: “We are fully committed to training and development. No other Fijian media organisation invests so much of its own money into this.

“It reflects the strong support we get from our ownership.”
