The Stage One of the $2 million Nila Beach Resort complex at Vuda Point in Lautoka is now open for business.

The complex houses budget accommodation/dormitory, the Eshaa Restaurant and Bar, a big swimming pool and a Spa bure.

This is part of the four stage $57 million investment by Nila International Limited director, Mohan Chinnusamy, from India.

General manager Vishal Venkatesh said they were elated to have opened for business and received their first guest for the dorm yesterday.

“We had a soft opening on July 3 with basically few friends and family affair and we have a market to look after,” he said.

“The dorm has a total of 48 beds. There is separate one for males, females, one for mixed and the other is the chief dorm because it has less beds but it has its own lounge, a TV, and a fridge.”

He said they have their rooms advertised with all the major OTA’s including booking.com, Expedia, and Agoda with few promos coming up from July 15 as well.

“We have a few corporate clients coming over too,” he said.

Restaurant and Bar

The conception of the Eshaa Restaurant and Bar offers more authentic Indian Cuisine with two international chefs from India and a local.

“Our chefs from India have arrived so basically we are doing more authentic Indian and Chinese cuisine at the moment,” Mr Venkatesh said.

Bookings

The resort has started receiving bookings for weddings to be held at the beach.

They will have a chapel by the beach for the weddings to take place. The beach will also be used to host year end functions as well as New Year’s eve party.

Boutique shop and Spa

The Resort boasts a boutique shop and a Spa bringing a pleasant twist for the guests.

“The boutique offers basically what you expect as currently for the backpacker market is the things you require,” Mr Chinnusamy added.

He added when the Stage two (close to $3 million investment) opens in December.

It would then it would be a complete five star luxury boutique with all clothes from India, Australia, and New Zealand.

Meanwhile final touches to the Spa had finished and opened on Monday this week.
