Pacific Energy Backs Nuku Rugby

One of the country’s longest serving rugby clubs got a new lease of life when they received a new set of uniforms at Naselai Village last night. The donation for the Nuku Rugby Club came from Pacific Energy.
National retail manager Zechariah Yadah said they were glad to be given the opportunity to support one of the oldest rugby clubs in the Tailevu Rugby Union.
“As you know we have been sponsoring teams like Vatukoula Rugby as we love to support sports,” he said.
“This is to assist our youths in their development so they become good Fijian citizens and this is something that we give back to the community.”
Nuku Rugby club manager Timoci Ranavue acknowledged Pacific Energy for the support.
“Nuku Rugby is one of the oldest rugby club in the Tailevu Rugby Union and over the years we have produced prominent players with the likes of Ilisoni Taoba, Peni Tora and current National 7s rep Josua Vici and Josaia Wini.
“Semesa Rokodoguni who has donned the England jumper. So after this presentation the players are ready to produce more positive results,” Ranavue added.
