The National Men’s Under-23 football side are aware of the huge challenge that is in front of them.

Speaking to SUNsports, Wellington Phoenix striker Roy Krishna said they are prepared to face the world’s best teams at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“It is right at the top of our list,” said the country’s only professional football player.

Krishna said playing in the Olympics was another opportunity for him and the players to get a feel of what world football is really like.

“There’s no pressure as it’s just one of those occasion where you just got to go there and enjoy yourself,” he said.

“Like I said to the players we are playing against some big teams but to just go there and feel what the atmosphere is like is going to be very big for us.”

Krishna said personally, it’s been his dream to be part of Rio Olympics Games.

“Playing and rubbing shoulders with some of the world’s best teams will only push me to perform to my best. But the focus right now is Team Fiji and the importance of going out to make our country proud.”
