Old mode is Still the Best

A Five star hotel worker in the West still travels to work using the old mode of transport.

That’s right…instead of catching the daily shuttle that arrives at his door-step everyday, this gentleman in his 40’s prefers to do it the good old way and rides his horse to work.

He may even look deceiving in his dirty worn out suit, but in the plastic bag in his hand, he carries his hotel working clothes.

The advantage of this….while everyone knocks off at 5pm patiently waiting for the shuttle to arrive, our man is already on his horse for the 10 minute ride home.

My, My. The things that My Suva Park is being found useful for.

Fitness walker reports the other day he found a man busy washing his car there.

Things we like

Nice to see the fish-and-chips business flourishing in Suva.

That’s the real fish and chips made while you wait.

Rather than something made in the morning and sitting in a bag in a warmer for hours.

Places we like in the city are Dan’s Fish and Chips down at the Laucala Bay Road service station of former rugby star Dan Lobendahn. And Bentley’s Fish N Chips across at Damodar City.

We haven’t been there yet. But we also hear good things about Farmer’s Fish and Chips out on Princes Road at Sawani.
