Epeli Lagiloa believes Josua ‘Fijian Bus’ Tuisova can be the X-Factor for the national 7s team at Rio Olympics next month.

Tuisova returned to the 7s fold after making his debut at the Wellington Sevens in 2013 playing out of the Westfield Barbarians coached by Lagiloa.

He said Coach Ben Ryan can play the Votua, Ba native in different positions.

“Tuisova can be shifted into the forwards, he can come and play hooker or try and retain Savenaca Rawaca at the back otherwise he can interchange with Rawaca or Rawaca can come and play hooker,”Lagiloa said.

“We need someone who is going to be a line breaker and Tuisova is the man, put him at rover. But if we put Tuisova and Rawaca as wing it will be very formidable.

“Our chance of winning Gold in Rio is 99.99 per cent.

“Most of this boys have been playing together throughout the season, or the last two or three years.”

The team are back at the Uprising Beach Resort today and depart for Santiago, Chile via Auckland on July 26, then will connect later to Rio de Janeiro. The women’s team will depart this Saturday. The Rio Olympics is scheduled for August 5-21.
