Ann Andrews is a human resource specialist who focuses on team skills. She is a speaker at the 2016 CPA Australia-Fiji Congress in September.

The 2016 CPA Australia-Fiji Branch Congress will be held on September 1 and 2 at Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort on Yanuca Island.

As the date draws closer, being media partners for the event, we start our coverage on the profiles of the speakers for this two-day event.

Ann Andrews profile

The speakers for the Congress 2016 are some of the world’s most recognised and thought leaders who will be discussing the future of the accounting profession.

One such person is Ann Andrews, a human resource specialist who focuses on team skills.

She will be speaking on Day one of the congress on the theme: ‘The Great Leadership Challenge – How to Entice 30% more Productivity from your People’.

Ann Andrews, a Certified Speaking Professional, is regarded as an inspirational entrepreneur and team specialist.

She teaches organisations and individuals how to learn, unlearn and relearn so they can face any change and any challenge likely to hit their lives or their business.

Ms Andrews’ early experience in the military exposed her to astounding leadership skills.

From there a career in corporate HR led to the development of her effective system for creating self-managed teams.

For the past 20 years, Ms Andrews has passed on those skills to some of the largest corporates in New Zealand.

She has shown them how a simple change in thinking can massively change their world and their results in both their personal and business life.

 

Renowned speaker

A seasoned conference speaker, Ms Andrews is regularly invited back to challenge people with her infectious humour and firm guidance.

She achieves this by getting her audiences out of parent/child thinking and into the adult/adult work practices modern organisations need.

One organsiation has had her speak at their conference five years running.

She has presented at conferences around the world, including Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Belgium and Australia.

Ms Andrews is a past National President of the National Speakers’ Association of New Zealand.

She was the recipient of The Spirit of Excellence Award in 2000 and again in 2009, the highest award in the speaking profession.

This is an award which recognises excellence in speaking and services rendered to the professional speaking industry.

She is the only speaker in New Zealand to have received the award twice and is one of only five CSPs (Certified Speaking Professional) in New Zealand.
