Work on the Flagstaff Plaza on part of Marist Brothers High School Grounds in Suva, is going ahead and is on schedule.

This was confirmed by Fineland Investments Limited director, Subhas Parshotam, at the project blessing ceremony at the Flagstaff Plaza building site.

Mr Parshotam said the complex is scheduled to be ready for occupation by August next year by which time the developers intend to finalise tenancies and the tenancy mix.

He reassured the Marist Brothers Trust will receive an annual income paid to them by the developers.

Mr Parshotam said the complex is a shopping centre on three levels.

“The basement level (below road level) will have warehousing space and car parking,” he said.

“There will be space for 22 car parks at this level.”

Mr Parshotam said the street level area will have 17 units and a supermarket.

“The supermarket area will also take up part of the third level.”

Also a special angle parking to the front of the complex facing the Bau Street frontage will be provided for 41 vehicles.

According to Mr Parshotam, the entry into this will be from Bau Street- from the roundabout end, into the complex and then angle parking.

“The third level will have eight units,” he said.

The complex will also house the Flagstaff Police Post (with all Police post amenities) which the developers have provided to them on a rent free basis.

Mr Parshotam added the tenancies had not been finalised but there is already very strong demand.
