Police have identified the mother of the baby whose body was found in a rubbish dumpster in Savusavu on Thursday.
This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro yesterday.
“Police will release more details later as investigations continue,” she said.
The body of the baby was discovered by some Town Council workers early Thursday morning.
Pictures of the body had gone viral on social media. The picture showed the body wrapped in a sarong.
Police earlier requested people to stop sharing the photo.
