Paul: Best Male Cadet
Paul Chang scooped the best male cadet award at the Lomary Secondary School passing-out parade on Friday.
He said the team from the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces must have noticed his hard work and obedience displayed during training.
“It has been a long tough week for us, training in the cold weather but we applaud the RFMF for their hard work and sacrifice in getting us ready,” the 19-year-old said.
He dedicates the award to his mother and grandmother who were present at the event.
“I have been participating in the parades for the last two years. I’m sad to leave but at the same time excited to join tertiary after high school,” he said.
“After this, total focus is on external examinations and I’m working hard to get a scholarship.”
He plans to study engineering at the University of the South Pacific next year.
