Business is booming at Nadi Sports and Social Club.

The Club officially opened the $30,000 investment in the new pool side bar last Saturday night.

Club president, Mike Jamieson, said the total investment so far has been around $1.4 million which includes the renovation of the Main complex, Gym Equipment, and Bure.

He said they are looking at upgrading the tennis courts at a cost of $0.25 million and a few other amenities.

“Membership when I took over was 351 full members. But past year we closed in November with 888. I believe we will close with around 1100 this year,” Mr Jamieson.

“It is great to see this become a more multi-racial club.”

Mr Jamieson added that bowling is a growing activity.

“Team Fiji (Bowling) uses our club for all their training and practice,” he said.

He said Bowling is also becoming an activity companies want to use for social events and team building.

 

Other functions

More functions are held at club (Birthdays, Weddings, Gala, Christmas parties etc).

Membership for gym use has grown.

Mr Jamieson said they have a much friendlier bar area with outside deck seating for people who enjoy this lifestyle.

There is a spa at the club, Pool Bar, Large Bure, all washrooms and changing rooms have been upgraded, as well as a total new look with new colour scheme given to the club.

New drink products are on sale, larger parking and pool area kindly done by Higgins (Fiji) Limited.

He added others new projects include introduction of new sports such as Table Tennis, Beach volleyball, which is being built now.
