Our Top Sports Team For Rio

These two outstanding sports journalists are heading to Brazil to cover the Rio Olympics for the Fiji Sun and our many readers.
n Deputy Sports Editor Anasilini Ratuva has previously covered Pacific Games and Pacific Mini Games for the Fiji Sun, as well as domestic sport big and small.
Ms Ratuva’s dedication to sports journalism has been acknowledged by the Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC). She was selected through ONOC’s support to attend special sports journalism development programmes in Doha and Palau.
n The country’s top rugby photojournalist Bruce Southwick will also be in Rio for the Fiji Sun. He will be specially focusing on our men’s and women’s sevens teams.
Mr Southwick is a passionate rugby man. A former player himself, he regularly travels the world covering the World Sevens Series and international rugby for the Fiji Sun.
When he’s not doing that he runs his own ZoomFiji company, Fiji’s leading wedding photography and cinematography business.
Fiji Sun Publisher/CEO Peter Lomas said yesterday: “We’re delighted to have two truly committed Fijian sports journalists leading our coverage from Rio.
“Sports journalism is a specialist area. We’re sending two top people in this field to cover Fiji’s most anticipated Olympics yet.
“Back here in Suva we’ll have strong back up. The country’s two most experienced sports editors, Leone Cabenatabua and Osea Bola, will coordinate the coverage. Plus another of our top editors, former South Pacific Games rep Rosi Doviverata, will head our online team.” .
