Exporter Awards Being Relaunched As International Business Awards

The Prime Minister’s Exporter of the Year Awards has been successfully hosted over the past 24 years.

It has been annually organised by Investment Fiji (previously Fiji Trade and Investment Bureau).

But this year, it will be relaunched under a new name – Westpac Prime Minister’s International Business Awards.

While the finer details are under wraps, the awards would be launched tomorrow evening at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.

Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, Faiyaz Siddiq Koya, will officiate the launch.

As mentioned earlier, while the finer details are under wraps, we believe this move is to get more people to be involved from the wider business community as opposed to just exporters.

The renaming could give a better and more accurate reflection of what the awards has transformed into.
