The sealing of a sponsorship deal is the catalyst needed to fire-up the Namosi rugby side for tonight’s semifinal showdown against Suva at the ANZ Stadium.

Yesterday Pleass Global Limited through its prominent brand Aquasafe Natural Artesian Water presented a $5000 cheque to the Namosi Rugby Union as part of their sponsorship deal.

Company marketing director Cate Pleass said “AquaSafe natural artesian water is proud to sponsor the Namosi Rugby team,” she said.

“This is also to strengthen the ties between the company and the province and people of Namosi.”

Namosi rugby coach Max Hughes said that they have to maintain their discipline against Suva tonight.

“The boys need to keep their cool,” he said.

Hughes also announced his line-up which includes former national rugby sevens playmaker Ilai Tinai, winger Leo Naikasau and robust No.8 Asaeli Boko.

Meanwhile, the RC Manubhai Suva rugby side opted to keep a low profile this week. But yesterday morning players and officials took time out from training and visited children admitted at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital.

The players led by Telecom Fijian Warriors flanker Josefa Levula sang a few songs to the delight of the patients and parents that were present at the ward. Also among the Suva players was Vodafone Fijian 7s halfback Emosi Mulevoro who is expected to take the field in tonight’s encounter. The clash kicks-off at 7.30pm
