Thirty-seven trainees graduated after completing the 11 weeks Junior Non Commissioned Officers course at the Force Training Group camp, Nasinu, yesterday.

The trainees were selected from their parent units as prospective Non Commissioned Officers who had the capability to perform leadership roles within their unit establishments.

Members of the Fiji Police Force, Police Constable (PC) Vodonaivalu, PC Ligairi and PC Coriakula also graduated as Junior Non Commissioned Offices with other RFMF trainees.

Corporal Seniroqa Colati won the best all round award amongst the graduates.

The aim of the course is to train and develop junior leaders in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces. When they return to their parent units, graduates are expected to undertake the Second In Command leadership role which involves leadership and the management of welfare, administration and logistics support arrangement for their squad.

Land Force Command Chief of Staff, Lieutenant Colonel Onisivoro Covunisaqa, who delivered the closing address reminded them they were expected to undertake their leadership role with moral courage to develop personnel under their command to the required discipline standard of the RFMF.

Lance Corporal Disiga was the only female trainee who graduated.
