We must not only fight hard, but fight smart, says SODELPA leader, Sitiveni Rabuka.

He made this reminder while speaking to the congregation at the SODELPA thanksgiving service at the Imanueli Methodist Church in Nadera yesterday.

“Let us remember, we are fighting against those who have gone before us, those who have financial power, legal power and power through the media like the radio and newspapers,” he said.

“Just like we heard in the sermon, is it possible? Yes it is possible.”

Mr Rabuka, who was dedicated during the service by Reverend Iliesa Naivalu, called on SODELPA members’ co-operation and obedience.

“Members of the party, be obedient to the leaders in each division and departments within your party. Listen and obey your leaders,” he said.

“Let us be strong in the Lord. Let us be strengthened through his power. Let us be equipped with the armour of God so we can be firm and overcome all the trials of this world.”

Mr Rabuka also reminded the leadership team within their party to carry out their responsibilities well.

“Remember, we will also answer to our main leader, which is God,” he said.

“In this journey that we are going on, we must trust in God.”

The service was attended by fewer than 100 people including SODELPA Members of Parliament Aseri Radrodro, Salote Radrodro, Ratu Sela Nanovo, Semesa Karavaki and Mikaele Leawere. There were notable absentees.
