Thirty five teams participated in the Bank South Pacific (BSP) Business house Regatta at the University of the South Pacific (USP) Lower Campus foreshore on Saturday.

Fiji Outrigger secretary Tracy Bentley said this is an increase from last year.

“Competitions went very well despite the few rainy patches we had, it has been good and everyone came out and had a good time,” Bentley said.

“The main reason why we have hold businessehouse regattas is to get everyone together to have fun and have good competitions.

“It’s basically a family fun day for most and that is what we want.

“So we are happy with the people who turned up for the event and we hope the numbers will increase next year.”

With the businesshouse competition going into its 18th year, Bentley said they hope to raise more awareness through yearly competitions.

The next competition is scheduled for August 20.
