$7000 total sponsorship for what is expected to become the biggest car show

The Fiji Car Club yesterday received a $5000 from Global Warehouse (Fiji) Limited for sponsorship of the upcoming Car Show.

In addition to the $5000, Global Warehouse will also give $2000 worth of prizes on the day of the event.

Known as Penrite Car Show, the event will be held on August 13 at the Handicraft Centre Car Park in Suva.

Penrite Oil is the oldest oil brand in Australia and is distributed in Fiji by Global Warehouse.

Fiji Car Club president, Raizal Haniff, thanked Global Warehouse for their continued support.

He said the money would assist the Fiji Car Club in organising and hosting the best car show ever in Fiji.

“We will be hosting the car show this year on a Saturday evening to allow our car enthusiasts from the West to participate as well,” he said.

“Previously when we used to have it on Sundays, only those in the greater Central Division could participate.”

The Penrite Car Show is expected to be much more and bigger this year with entertainment also being planned during the event.

Global Warehouse director, Hamzah Hussein, said they were happy to sponsor the event and partner with the Fiji Car Club once again.

“We recently got the agency for Penrite Oils in Fiji which is Australia’s leading premium engine oil,” he said.

“We are trying to create an Australian Auto show atmosphere here in Suva on August 13. Fiji is not so far from Australia in terms of car show and we want to take that up to par with Australia.

“I think this will be Fiji’s biggest car show till date and we are happy to be working in conjunction with the Fiji Car Club and their motives for promoting safer driving and better skills.”

Global Warehouse director, Asif Hussein, said they were proud to be associated with the Fiji Car Club and looked forward to continue with such collaboration.

“This is our second sponsorship to the Fiji Car Club and we look forward to more in the future,” he said.
