Team Fiji women sprinter, Sisilia Seavula is happy with her training results at the Air Force camp ground in Barra, Brazil yesterday.

She impressed coach Bola Tafou after running her personal best time in the 100 metres which is her fastest in the season.

“This has boosted my confidence,” she told SUNsports.

“My coach is telling me that I can run my new PB on the actual race. I have been running faster times here and that is 12 seconds down to 11.8.”

The 20-year-old is enjoying the atmosphere in Rio being her first Olympic Games.

“It’s great seeing the best from around the world and gives me the urge to train harder. Meeting them is just awesome. I’m enjoying the facilities and services around the games village, the food is great and this is a wonderful experience for me,” she said.

Seavula booked her Olympic spot through universality placing and says, there will be a lot of new things she will take back home after the Olympics.

“One of these is that in the past four days I’m still trying to know the names of participating countries and at the same time understand their cultures. I’m glad to be here but moreover I’m grateful to be part of Team Fiji,” she added.
